Charles B. Lanier Jr. (Chuck) serves as the President of Lanier-McCormack Wealth Management. He has over 47 years of experience in banking, insurance, and financial services, specializing in retirement, estate and business planning needs. Chuck considers wealth management to be fascinating work as planning and investments are interwoven to help his clients have more confidence in their financial futures.
A 1971 graduate of the University of Georgia, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Finance. He later received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Augusta University. Prior to embarking on a career in the financial services industry, Chuck served three years as an officer in the U.S. Army, and retired as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve with 30 years of total service. His military career is reflected in a framed collection of memorabilia that hangs in his office, including the Legion of Merit medal. Continuing his education, Chuck earned the Certified Financial Planner designation in 1986 through the College for Financial Planning. In 1991 he was granted the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations.
Married since 1971 to his college sweetheart, Chuck and Susan have a son, a daughter and five grandchildren. They are members of both St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church and Aldersgate Methodist Church. Whenever he gets a chance, Chuck hits the links for a round of golf with colleagues and friends. Off the golf course, he’s likely to be reading a good book or spending time with his family.
